TSPC Health & Wellness Assessments

At TSPC we offer a wide range of health assessments that can be tailored to your specific requirements. Let our health care team guide you through the available options and provide you with a competitively priced package. Our assessments include a detailed discussion and interpretation of results with a TSPC doctor ensuring you fully understand the meaning of your results. TSPC has its own laboratory and this allows us to get most test results processed in under 2 hours, giving you quick answers to your health concerns. Health & wellness assessments allow you to take control of your health and get started on the path to a healthier you.

We can offer:

  • Physical examination and consultation with a TSPC doctor
  • Same day test results (available for most tests)
  • Expert interpretation of all results
  • Optional electrocardiogram (ECG)
  • Optional chest x-ray with reporting
  • Optional tumour markers
  • Optional anti-ageing profile
  • All assessments can be combined with diagnostic imaging

TSPC Diagnostic Imaging

Our diagnostic imaging department uses the latest available technology combined with skilful interpretation by our experienced in-house radiologist.

X-ray images

X-ray is a type of radiation which is similar to visible light, but has a higher frequency that allows it to produce images of the inside the body. The x-ray machine works by sending x-rays through the body and there is no radiation left in the body. Exposure to very high levels of radiation can be harmful, however the x-rays used for medical purposes is safe as the dose is small. TSPC has invested in modern x-ray machines that allow for high-quality images using the minimal amount of radiation. Our trained radiographers will set the machine to the lowest dose of radiation required.

We are all exposed to a certain level of constant background radiation from our natural surroundings. A chest x-ray is equivalent to a couple of days of natural background radiation. Some x-rays require a higher dose, but most experts feel that the benefit of an appropriate x-ray significantly out-weigh the minimal risks involved.

Ultrasound imaging

Ultrasound imaging is safe and painless. It involves placing a small probe with gel directly onto the skin. Sound waves are sent from the probe through the body and when these waves bounce back a computer is used to generate an image of the internal organs. Ultrasound does not use x-rays and there is no radiation exposure from this test. Ultrasound can be used to view the structure of organs and also see real-time movements, such as the blood flowing through the heart and the heart valves opening and closing.

CT scan

Computed tomography, more commonly known as a CT or CAT scan, is a diagnostic medical test that uses x-rays to produce multiple images of the inside of the body. The cross-sectional images, or slices, generated during a CT scan can be viewed in multiple planes, and can even be used to generate three-dimensional images. CT images provide greater detail than traditional x-rays. A CT scan can be used to visualize nearly all parts of the body and can be used to diagnose disease or injury as well as to plan medical or surgical treatment.

During a CT scan you are briefly exposed to x-ray radiation, no radiation remains in your body after the examination is completed. Our doctors use the lowest dose of radiation possible to obtain the required medical information. TSPC has invested in a modern CT scanner requiring significantly less radiation than used in many other centres. CT scans have many benefits that out-weigh the small potential risk associated with this level of radiation.

MRI scan

Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is a non-invasive medical test that helps doctors diagnose and treat a wide range of medical conditions. MRI uses a magnetic field and radio waves to produce detailed pictures of organs, soft tissues, bone and virtually all other internal body structures. The images can be used to create high resolution computerised images, including 3-dimensional images of internal organs. The MRI machine consist of a large cylinder-shaped tube that is surrounded by the magnet. You lie on an examination table that slides into the centre of the magnet. Unlike traditional x-ray and CT scans, MRI does not use ionizing radiation. Depending on the type of exam the entire scan is usually completed in 30-50 minutes.

TSPC has invested in modern lab facilities, staffed with our team of highly skilled lab technicians. We have the ability to carry out a wide range of tests allowing our clinicians to give you an accurate diagnosis without delays. Our lab services are able to process most samples in under 2 hours and ensures that you get the answers you need quickly.

TSPC has a retail pharmacy, Far East, that stocks a wide range of prescription and over-the-counter medication. Far East is open to the general public and welcomes prescriptions from other clinics and doctors. We also have a dispensing pharmacy that is conveniently located at the main reception area. The dispensing pharmacy services those patients that require medication following their consultation in TSPC.
